Luther Jackson MIDDLE School: 70TH ANNIVERSARY
Luther Jackson High School was Fairfax County’s first high school for Blacks. Ten years after it opened, it was converted to an integrated middle school. Historic Records: Falls Church District
Founded in 1870, the Falls Church Magisterial District encompassed the communities of Annandale, Bailey’s Crossroads, Fort Ward, Lincolnia (Lebanon), Merrifield, Mount Pleasant, Seminary, and West End (Alexandria).
