Neighbors in Crisis

Holy Trinity has been rooted in the Falls Church neighborhood for 75 years. We’ve seen it grow and change, and we’re dedicated to helping anyone who is struggling and in need through our local partners. If you have “a servant heart,” consider volunteering for one or more of the following ministries and missions right here in our backyard. Please email office@holytrinityfallschurch.org if you would like more information or watch for upcoming volunteer opportunities in our weekly news.

Hypothermia Week

Holy Trinity is one of 50 area churches that has operated a hypothermia shelter for a week each winter through FACETS. More than 100 Holy Trinity members and friends work to set up sleeping mats in Fellowship Hall and provide snacks, dinner, breakfast and a bag lunch; entertainment and conversation; personal hygiene items and clothing; and safety for 35-40 guests each night.

Together, we provide warmth and meals during the closest months of the winter. If you are interested in cooking a meal, offering conversation, or staying overnight with our guests, contact the office at office@holytrinityfallschurch.org so we can reach out to you once we know our assigned week.

FCS Food Pantry

Our local Falls Church Community Service Council Food Pantry (located at Knox Presbyterian Church) has a new list of items needed to help support families in our neighborhood. Below is a list of some of the most commonly requested foods and necessities. Visit their website for the most up to date list. To donate, email fcswecare@aol.com or call 703-237-2562.

Food For Others

In our nation’s capital area, the high cost of living forces many families who are struggling to make ends meet to choose between spending money for food, or on other basic needs such as housing and healthcare. Since 1995, Food for Others has been helping many of these families. Holy Trinity regularly hosts food drives on their behalf. We also participate in drives for the Power Pack Program which aims to provide at-home meals to students experiencing food insecurity.

The Lamb Center

The Lamb Center is a daytime drop-in shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness in Fairfax, Virginia. They provide a variety of services without cost to our guests, including breakfast, lunch, showers, laundry service, Bible studies, case management, AA meetings, a nurse practitioner clinic, a dental clinic, and much more. In the past, Holy Trinity has assisted The Lamb Center through clothing drives, fundraisers, and volunteers in their shelter.
