A Masterpiece to Celebrate 75 Years!

Riley Sheehey, a renown artist and member of our congregation was inspired to create a work of art for our 75th Anniversary year. This art piece will be displayed in the narthax and cherished for years to come. Below is Riley’s thought on the piece.

“ I was so honored to have the opportunity to work on this painting as a gift to Holy Trinity to celebrate the 75th anniversary! We moved into the neighborhood at the end of 2017, and it has been so wonderful to watch the church grow as we have grown our family- we had our daughter baptized at Holy Trinity in 2022.

For this piece, I went back into the church archives, and took some photos of members of the church community from as far back as the 1950s. It was so much fun to look at the different hairstyles and outfits, and to see what has changed since then! I included at least one churchgoer from each decade that Holy Trinity has been around, and noticed that balloons have been present at a lot of the anniversary celebrations, so included some of those, as well. I hope that this gift grows with the church, as I look forward to seeing how it continues to grow and change in coming years!”
