Betsy Turner

Betsy Turner is a former teacher and independent school administrator originally from northern Ohio and the Detroit area. Before moving to Fairfax, VA, in 2019, she and her husband, John, lived at Seabrook Island, SC, for 18 years. She has always enjoyed creative pursuits, but never tried painting until being introduced to it through a pottery class turned acrylics class about fifteen years ago. She uses her own photography as inspiration for her work and particularly enjoys painting birds and flowers using acrylics in bold colors. Most artwork is available as giclees as well as originals, framed or unframed. Her work was previously exhibited at Carolina Clay Gallery in Freshfields Village, Kiawah Island, SC. Currently, she exhibits at Virginia Arts Society in Vienna, VA.
