75th Anniversary Events

Holy Trinity celebrates our 75th Anniversary ALL YEAR LONG in 2024! Can you believe we’ve been sharing Christ’s love in our community and church for 75 years?! To celebrate, we have a number of special events, activities, and surprises in the works. In addition to the events listed below, learn more on our 75th Anniversary Events page.

April 27: Live Aid Karaoke Fundraiser

In 1985, the Live Aid concert raised $127 million for famine relief in Africa.  In honor of the 80s decade of Holy Trinity, we will hold our own singing event - karaoke! - to raise funds for hunger relief.  Join us on Saturday, April 27th from 6-9pm in Fellowship Hall to showcase your talents and enjoy FREE PIZZA!  In the spirit of Live Aid, we have set the goal to collect 127 items of food for the Little Food Pantry outside the church and raise $1270 for ELCA World Hunger, which is celebrating its own 50th anniversary!  Donations to ELCA World Hunger can be made on the HTLC website Giving page, and food donations can be brought to the church.

April 28: “The Chosen” Bible Study

"The Chosen" is an Amazon Prime and Netflix series about the life of Christ, portraying Jesus through the eyes of those who met him. To date, it's the highest crowd-funded TV series or film project of all time, based on the books by bestselling author Jerry B. Jenkins. Pastor will begin a viewing of Chosen on Sunday, April 28, in the sanctuary following fellowship hour. We will view one episode per week for 8 weeks with a discussion on Tuesday evenings at 7 PM starting on April 30th and utilizing this interactive book study.

May 4: WELCA Book Club

The next HT WELCA Book Club Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, at 9 AM.  We will meet in Holy Trinity Fellowship Hall for a breakfast buffet and discussion of "Shakespeare Saved My Life: Ten Years In Solitary With The Bard" by Laura Bates. The book chronicles the experiences of Laura Bates who is both a Shakespeare professor and prison volunteer. It  touches on the search for meaning in life, the struggles that complicate the path to triumph and the salvation that can be found in literature's great works.
